Position Overview
The Material Registrar / Handler is responsible for facilitating the receipt, verification, computer transaction, and physical movement of all inventory and non-inventory items within the system work area at the customer site. A safety-first mindset and adherence to cleanroom protocols are always essential.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Move materials between Cleanroom Lay Down Areas and System Work Areas.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts of inventory.
- Log material in/out transactions and engineer hand-offs using computer systems.
- Expedite line-down parts and urgent material needs.
- Coordinate with Engineers to ensure availability of required items for scheduled work.
- Log confirmations for installed parts, unused returns, used returns, and tool returns.
- Support daily staging, returns, and organization of system work areas.
- Reallocate material between work areas as needed.
- Prepare materials for return, ensuring proper ID, packaging, and completeness.
- Work with SAP Coordinators for staging, returns, and material investigations.
- Accurately interpret and act on inventory data and documents.
- Maintain professional interactions with Engineers, Coordinators, and other staff.
- Continuously learn and apply new skills in material logistics.
- Always uphold safety-first practices in handling, movement, and documentation.
Education & Skills
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience (cleanroom and warehouse experience required; manufacturing preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and report findings in written or graphical formats.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and email systems.
- Commitment to safety and cleanroom compliance.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Requires frequent sitting, walking, talking, hearing, keyboard use, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching.
- Must adhere to gowning requirements for extended periods in cleanroom environments.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work under deadlines in moderate temperature/noise environments.
- May require periodic travel to regional and overseas sites for technical or support projects.
- Some technical support may involve heavy lifting of equipment or modules in production/lab settings.
