Job Description – Head of Operations / Manager of Operations

Position Profile:

The Head of Operations or Manager of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, ensuring that the business runs efficiently and effectively. The role involves strategic planning, managing operational processes, and implementing best practices to enhance operational performance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate across various departments such as production, logistics, and customer service.

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist in the development and execution of business strategies to achieve the company’s goals.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and oversee budgets and financial forecasts for the operations department.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operations staff to achieve company goals.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address any employee issues or concerns.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure that operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product and service delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational activities.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project outcomes.

Supply Chain and Logistics:

  • Manage supply chain operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Oversee logistics and inventory management to minimize costs and meet customer demands.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Ensure excellent customer service and address any operational issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with customer service teams to resolve customer complaints and improve satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer feedback and implement changes to enhance customer experience.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior operations role, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and operational best practices.
