Job Type: Full-time, In-Person
Location: Initially in Chandler, Arizona
Travel Flexibility: Within Arizona with the potential of temporary travel to different states and/or countries (Travel Expenses are paid)

Position Overview
The Pre-Install Technician works closely with Material Handlers, Coordinators, and customer teams to plan and prepare for the timely execution of semiconductor system installations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform pre-installation tasks such as equipment unpacking, part assembly, and pre-alignment.
- Assist in staging tools and components within cleanroom environments.
- Read and follow schematics, mechanical drawings, and SOPs.
- Support equipment movement and placement with riggers and logistics teams.
- Verify that tools, kits, and materials align with installation specifications.
- Connect basic infrastructure (frames, panels, trays, minor cabling).
- Maintain installation logs and accurate documentation.
- Follow safety, contamination control, and ESD procedures at all times.
- Communicate progress and issues to project leads and engineers.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with managers, co-workers, and customers.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or field service (semiconductor experience a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom environments with PPE.
- Physically able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer sites, including extended assignments.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with semiconductor equipment (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition tools).
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and contamination control.
- Experience with ESD handling and tool staging procedures.
- Familiarity with cable routing techniques (fiber optic and power cables) – training provided as needed.
- Understanding of coupling methods (push fittings, VCS pipes, screw pipe connections) – training provided as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and use of hands for handling tools and equipment.
- Extended adherence to gowning and cleanroom requirements.
- Occasional lifting and movement of items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work under deadlines in moderate temperature/noise environments.
- Requires travel and shift flexibility based on project schedules.
Schedule Availability
- Day Shift – 3 x 12, 4 x 12 (7 am to 7pm), (8am to 5 pm)
- Night Shift – 7 pm to 7am, 6am to 6 pm, 5pm to 5am
