Field Service Engineer

Introduction to the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our semiconductor service team in Taiwan. This position plays a critical role in supporting our customers by installing, deinstalling, qualifying, and servicing high-tech equipment in cleanroom environments across the region. You will be part of a global team delivering cutting-edge solutions for the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation and de-installation of semiconductor equipment at customer facilities worldwide.
- Execute tool qualification and configuration according to operational procedures and work instructions (WoWs).
- Manage tool sorting and cleaning activities prior to installation.
- Take proactive ownership in resolving technical issues during field assignments to ensure system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure daily compliance with all safety, cleanroom, and customer-specific protocols, including PIP policies.
- Maintain clear communication and status reporting on project progress to internal stakeholders and customer teams.
- Support additional field service operations or improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and technical solutions.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in field service, equipment installation, or maintenance within the semiconductor or precision equipment industry.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and willingness to travel will also be considered.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations and ESD safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed procedures.
Soft Skills
- Service-minded with strong customer focus and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Team player with a high sense of responsibility and initiative.
